As we continue to expand our offerings and client base, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tech Lead to lead one of our squads and drive innovation within our organization.

Role description

The Tech Lead at TrustBuilder will play a hands-on role in coding and mentorship, fostering excellence within our development team. Reporting directly to the VP Engineering, the incumbent will guide developers, facilitate their growth, and actively contribute to coding initiatives to drive technical innovation and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the VP Engineering to carry the technical vision of the product forward.
  • Assisting other developers in their technical and professional growth through active listening, answering questions, providing assistance, engaging in peer programming, and conducting training sessions.
  • Providing daily support and guidance to developers to ensure their continual improvement and striving for excellence.
  • Allocating at least 50% of their time to coding tasks to maintain hands-on technical proficiency.
  • Conducting thorough code reviews of fellow developers’ work and validating their contributions.
  • Championing a culture of rigorous testing and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Participating actively in the recruitment process to select top talent for the team.
  • Monitoring release progress and staying updated on the status of ongoing releases.
  • Organizing and leading weekly follow-up meetings with the development team to review progress and address any challenges or concerns.

Do we have a match?

This is what we expect from you:

  • Strong proficiency in Java development with extensive hands-on experience.

  • Demonstrated ability in Frontend development with Angular 2+ framework.

  • Familiarity with serverless development is advantageous.

  • Leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring development teams.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts.

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.

  • Adaptability to learn new technologies and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Language skills:
    • English
    • Dutch and French are extra
